This year’s Perth Sneaker Swapmeet took place as a part of William Street Festival on Sunday 18th March 2012. The whole street was shut, stalls were set up along the street, live bands performed on stage, baseketball competition, and thousands of people came down to enjoy the sunny 30 degree day.
We got burnt a little bit
.
There were a lot of gems everywhere!!! We tried to keep our hands away from those rare kicks. Our good friends Jason and Shaun (from Pulse Sports) shared the stall with us selling their rarest Jordans, Kobes, Air Max’s, and many deadstocks we haven’t seen in years (if not decades) still fresh in the box.
Matthew Darch (owner of OneUp Microcinema) was the organiser of it all and we have our gratitude for throwing an event Perth needed for so long.
During all this, there’s a Baseketball competition. And we’re proud to announce that Trooth (Alreis’ Official MC) and his team won it and took home a portable basketball system!!! Congrats!!!
Alreis stall was crowded by hungry people looking fresh threads. We were overwhelmed by the demands that Julie, who was looking our stock was exhausted sorting out the stock.
We enjoyed this year’s festival, there were a lot of unique characters passing by the streets. We even spotted a lady in red dress with a red umbrella standing at least 10 feet tall!!!
We’d like to thank everyone who was there helping us with the stall, all the Alreis family and friends who came down to support, and we’d like to welcome all the people who purchased Alreis goods into our family. Thank you to Julie, Shaz, Edit, Shaun, and Jason for making it enjoyable.
Alreis Livin.
